Jennifer Lopez to perform in Sharm El-Sheikh this summer
Global star Jennifer Lopez (aka J.Lo) will perform in Egypt’s Red Sea resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh on 6 July.
The venue where the concert will be held is yet to be announced.
Two weeks ago, J.Lo, 55, posted on her Instagram account that the performance would be the opening night for her Up All Night tour, her first in six years.
Following the kick-off in Sharm El-Sheikh, J.Lo will embark on a one-month tour, giving 15 other concerts in various cities, including Antalya, Madrid, Barcelona, Budapest, Warsaw, Bucharest, and Abu Dhabi.
This is the second time J.Lo has performed in Egypt. She first performed in the North Coast in 2019 as part of her It’s My Party tour to celebrate her 50th birthday.
The American actress, singer, dancer and producer started in 1991 as a fly girl dancer on the comedy sketch show In Living Colour, where she remained a regular until she decided to pursue an acting career in 1993.
Since launching her music career in 1999 with If You Had My Love, J.Lo has sold over 80 million records.
Her song On The Floor (2011), featuring Pitbull, garnered over 2.5 billion views on YouTube, making it one of the most popular music videos on the platform.
J.Lo’s latest album This is Me..Now was released in February 2024 as a sequel to her 2002 album This is Me..Then.
Her most recent performance was on 19 April in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
